High Wizard Card - Bug [closed]

So, I was doing some test with the -100% cast reduction build combined with HW card and I have the following equips.

2 Beelzebub = 60%
Orlean's Glove and Server = 10%
Dark Lord and Dark Illusion card = 20%
+7 Skull Cap [No Card] and +10 Evil Bone Wand = 10%

Total of 100%

The above build has no issues with the cast, all skills are instant.

However, when I added HW card to the +7 Skull Cap, instant cast is completely gone.

Hope this can be checked or confirm if it is indeed expected.

Hi Atrix,

High Wizard Card slows your cast time by 2x:

"Ignores MDEF of normal monsters. Slows your casting time by 2x. Reduces SP regeneration rate by 100%.
Drain 2000 SP as the headgear is unequipped."

In order to have instant cast with High Wizard Card, you need 150 DEX

Thanks GM Oreki for the response.

However in this case, cast time is 0... which makes it "Slows cast time 2x" multiplied by 0, so it has to be 0 cast time still?

works that way because the script goes like this

you start out with 100 cast time

you get -100 cast time from equipment

but high wizard card script says +100, it's just worded x2

so you still go back to the same cast time

So it seems there's no other way to use HW card but with 150 DEX /heh /heh
